Abstract. Here we give a factorization theorem for any holomorphic fuction $f\ne 0$ on certain Stein manifolds as a product (finite or infinite) of a nowhere vanishing holomorphic function and ``simpler functions'', each of them vanishing exactly on one of the hypersurfaces whose union is the zero-locus of $f$.
