Abstract. The aim of this paper is applying suitable preconditioned methods for solving systems from the discretization of fourth-order formula in solution of parabolic equations, $\alpha u_{xx}+\beta u_{yy}=\Psi(x,y,t,u,u_{x},u_{y},u_{t})$, where $\alpha$ and $\beta$ are constants. Numerical results performed on model problem to confirm the efficiency of our approach.
