Abstract.Let 
be a reduced projective curve with only planar singularities with some ordinary node or ordinary cusp. Here we give a local stratification of the moduli space of stable torsion free sheaves on with pure rank, depending only on the singular points which are ordinary nodes or ordinary cusps.
