Abstract. In this paper, we prove the generalized Hyers-Ulam stability of the additive functional inequality

\begin{displaymath}\Vert f(x)+f(y)+f(z)\Vert\le\Vert f(x+y)+f(z)\Vert\end{displaymath}

in Banach spaces.
