ON COMPARISONS OF CHEBYSHEV-HALLEY ITERATION
FUNCTIONS BASED ON THEIR ASYMPTOTIC CONSTANTS

Abstract. Using the Chebyshev-Halley family of iteration functions and numerical examples, we discuss the influence of both the asymptotic constant and the choice of the initial trial in the basin of attraction on the rapidity of convergence of an iterative method.
