Abstract. This paper deals with the behavior of the digestive system of a paper making plant based on queuing theory. Several methods are used to describe the behavior of some parts of the digestive system of paper making plant based on linear and non linear circuit. The digestive system of a paper making plant has four main sub-systems that are arranged in series and parallel. The mathematical local balance equations are developed using Markov Sate diagram and then solved it by using normalizing condition. The behavior of each part of the digestive system in a paper making plant has also been deduced, SLAM - II can also be used to simulate the model. Therefore, the finding of this work will be highly useful to the paper plant management for the timely execution of proper maintenance decision and hence to enhance the system performance.
